About the role

AbleKids is seeking a passionate Speech Pathologist to join our growing interdisciplinary team in Geraldton, WA.

This is a full-time opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, young people, and their families within our community.

As a speech pathologist, you will deliver evidence-based assessment, intervention, and support services to children and young people with a diverse range of communication, feeding, and swallowing needs.

You will work collaboratively within a supportive interdisciplinary team committed to achieving positive outcomes for our clients.

For experienced clinicians, there are exciting leadership and career development opportunities, including the potential to provide supervision and mentoring to members of the speech pathology team and speech pathology students. We are also open to considering modified caseloads that incorporate leadership, supervision, clinical support, and professional development responsibilities.

We offer structured supervision, scaled KPIs and professional development to support early-career clinicians.

Remuneration will be negotiated based on qualifications, experience, and the scope of the role, ensuring experienced candidates are recognised and rewarded appropriately.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct assessments of speech, language, communication, feeding, and swallowing needs in children and young people.
• Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based therapy plans aligned with client goals.
• Deliver engaging therapy sessions tailored to each client's needs.
• Collaborate with families, educators, medical practitioners, and allied health professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
• Monitor client progress and adjust intervention strategies as required.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports in line with professional standards.
• Provide education, support, and practical strategies to families and key stakeholders.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to ongoing service improvement initiatives.

Requirements

What we're looking for

• A degree in Speech Pathology and current Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status, or eligibility for SPA membership.
• Passion for supporting children, young people, and their families.
• Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and report-writing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a interdisciplinary team.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, professional development, and high-quality client care.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A current driver's licence and ability to obtain relevant clearances.
• Experience working in paediatric and/or regional settings is highly regarded, but not essential.
