Description

Accountable for facilitating improvement in overall quality and completeness of provider-based clinical documentation in the medical record.  Works collaboratively with treating providers to ensure documentation in the medical record accurately reflects severity of illnesses as well as services rendered.   Assesses documentation through extensive review of the record and interacts with physicians, case managers, and coding staff to ensure appropriate reimbursement is received and clinical information utilized in profiling and reporting outcomes is accurate.  Monitors program results and reports to Director.

Avita Health System is seeking an experienced full-time Clinical Documentation Specialist - Nursing (RN) for CDI functions at Avita Ontario Hospital.  This hybrid position requires some in-person training and physician interaction but is primarily remote. The successful applicant will have 2+ years of CDI experience and will live within reasonable driving distance of Ontario, Ohio.
