Description

TITLE: Corporate Inpatient Coding Director 

LOCATION: 100% Remote from most states

SALARY: $130k-200k+ base plus 12% targeted bonus

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • An exciting Inpatient focused Director level opportunity for a seasoned, dynamic and innovative HIM professional who will be working in an integral role for a large health system
  • Proven ability to lead, unify and standardize processes across large Coding teams ideally over multiple sites working together as a cohesive unit
  • Overall team size of around 200 FTE’s (primarily Inpatient Coder’s) reporting through 8 Coding Manager’s
  • Looking for a visionary leader with a strategic mindset passionate about looking into the future and propelling the organization forward
  • Must have the ability to communicate at a high-level with everyone from support staff to Executive leadership within the health system.  Simply put, someone that presents well.
  • Hands-on production Inpatient Coding skills aren’t required but the right candidate should be regarded as an industry expert when it comes to Inpatient Coding.  Up-to-date on any changes, reading articles, etc.…
  • This role will not oversee CDI but will partner with CDI so any previous experience in this area is highly preferred
  • Position will report to the Executive Director of Coding

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is an absolute, no exceptions
  • RHIA
  • 5+ years of Management experience over teams of 50+ FTE’s including managers/supervisors
  • Ideal candidate will have multi-site leadership experience
  • Previous EPIC/3M 360 CAC experience desired
  • Open to very limited travel, maybe once or twice a year if at all
