Description
Paediatric Speech Pathologist | Existing Caseload Ready to Go! | Flexible PT/FT
Croydon, VIC | Contractor | Flexible days/hours | Immediate start
We already have the caseload. You bring your clinical expertise.
Building Better Brains is looking for a Paediatric Speech Pathologist to join our growing multidisciplinary team.
We have families waiting for Speech Therapy support, meaning you can step into an existing caseload immediately without the pressure of spending months building your own referrals.
We are looking for an experienced paediatric clinician who wants the flexibility and autonomy of contracting, while still having a supportive multidisciplinary team to collaborate with.
And because we know that great clinicians don't necessarily want to spend their time running a business, we run the business for you, so you can focus on what you love: working with your clients.
Why work with Building Better Brains?
A caseload ready to go: We have existing paediatric referrals waiting for allocation. Your caseload can be built around your availability, clinical interests and areas of expertise.
Flexibility that works for you: Part-time or full-time, we're open to both. Choose the days and hours that suit you, and build a sustainable caseload around your life and capacity.
A supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary environment: You won't be working in isolation. You'll have opportunities to collaborate with clinicians across Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Creative Arts Therapy, Play Therapy and Therapy Assistant services.
We handle the business side: Your time is valuable. Rather than expecting you to spend your days chasing referrals, managing enquiries and worrying about the business side of private practice, we provide the infrastructure and support around you so you can focus on clinical work. We support the systems, referrals, administration and broader practice operations that allow you to spend more of your time doing what you became a Speech Pathologist to do.
Clinical autonomy: We trust clinicians to use their professional judgement. You'll have the freedom to develop therapy programs and deliver sessions in ways that reflect your clinical strengths and the individual needs of each child.
A practice that aligns with contemporary paediatric care! Our work is neuro-affirming, strengths-based, child-centred and trauma-informed, with a focus on meaningful functional outcomes rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Your caseload
The role involves working with children and teenagers, including neurodivergent clients, across areas such as:
- Language and communication
- Speech and articulation
- Social communication
- Functional communication
- Social interaction and participation
- Communication skills within everyday environments
- Family education and support
There is plenty of scope to shape your caseload around your experience and clinical interests.
Contractor remuneration
We offer a competitive 60/40 client fee split, with 60% of the client fee paid directly to the clinician.
The model is designed to give you the benefits of contracting and clinical autonomy without requiring you to build and run the practice yourself.
What Building Better Brains takes care of:
We provide the business infrastructure around your clinical work, including:
- Client enquiries and referral management
- Marketing and referral generation
- Scheduling and practice administration
- Practice systems and operational support
- Multidisciplinary collaboration
