Maximus is hiring for the Clinical Manager (Registered Nurse) for the MA EOHHS Program which provides essential clinical leadership to ensure the delivery of highquality, personcentered assessments across Massachusetts. This role oversees a team of registered nurses conducting inperson evaluations, ensuring all assessments meet organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and evidencebased clinical guidelines. The Clinical Manager is responsible for reviewing clinical documentation, coaching and developing nursing staff, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance workflow efficiency and patient outcomes as well as performing assessments throughout the state of Massachusetts.
This role will require up to 50% in-person assessments in field-based settings which would require use of personal or public transportation, which would include members’ homes, hospitals, and other community based settings within designated regions. The position monitors key quality and safety metrics, implements corrective actions when needed, supports hiring and onboarding of nursing staff, and serves as the primary clinical escalation point for complex cases. This leadership role is integral to maintaining clinical excellence and supporting the mission of the MA EOHHS program. Must maintain availability during standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) with availability for evenings and weekends depending on contract needs.
** This role requires approximately 50% travel within Massachusetts, averaging 3 days per week, to conduct in-person assessments.

LTSS provides services to enable Massachusetts residents to live with independence and dignity in their daily lives, participate in their communities, and increase their overall quality of life.
As the Public Assessors Option (PAO), we provide education to providers, conduct inperson comprehensive assessments, and offer call center support for the state of Massachusetts regarding the following LTSS programs:
Adult Day Health (ADH)
Adult Foster Care (AFC)
Group Adult Foster Care (GAFC)
Personal Care Attendant (PCA)
The PAO will serve as the point of entry option for processing the inquiries and initial contacts regarding the LTSS Programs, as well as being responsible for conducting timely, quality, consistent, and accurate Assessments to determine clinical eligibility for the LTSS Programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage clinical and nursing team in the planning, monitoring and execution of all projects within the portfolio.
- Provides direct supervision to a team of direct reports.
- Directly responsible for contract performance including financial, quality, outcomes and client satisfaction.
- Primary point of contact for client and some stakeholders to meet project needs and minimize exposure to risk.
- Contribute to division growth through work on bids and proposals, client communication and related activities.
- Work with Operations and shared services to increase quality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements
- RN license valid in the state of practice is required
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 year's of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project or program management required
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- An active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts
- Residency in the state of Massachusetts is required
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience Supervising clinical staff
- Familiarity with Home and Community Based Services waivers (HCBS) and prior experience conducting clinical assessments
- Subject matter expertise in Medicaid LTSS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing
- Proficiency in Adobe applications
- Proficiency in Smartsheet
- Familiarity with the Time to Test (TTT) assessment
- Experience in utilization review or utilization management
- Prior experience working remotely
- Prior experience with data analytics, including preparation of monthly reports and collaboration with state partners
- Minimum understanding of the following:
Program clinical eligibility requirements for the MA EOHHS LTSS Programs (AFC/GAFC/ADH/ PCA)
Documentation requirements for Assessment processes, including physician and medical information forms or other TTT Tool documents;
Caregiver and Surrogate participation in the Assessment process;
Understanding of the Appeals and pre-Board of Hearing mediation process and how to complete the process, including documentation of activities
Use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook/ Word) and experience with inputting assessments into an electronic system
