The Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist is responsible for the evaluation of physician documentation utilizing their clinical expertise to ensure the patients’ severity of illness is accurately portrayed in the medical record for specificity and accuracy of diagnosis and procedure coding. The CDI Specialist provides guidance to the providers, nursing, and ancillary staff on clinical documentation best practices.
Requirements
Baptist Health System is seeking a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist, experience preferred.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing. - Certification as a Clinical Documentation Specialist and/or Certified Documentation Integrity Specialist preferred. - In lieu of bachelor’s degree, Associate degree in Nursing with five years acute healthcare nursing. - Valid Kentucky or Indiana Licensure as a Registered Nurse
