Description
Bethany Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join a long-established, physician-led, 100% outpatient cardiology program in Central North Carolina’s Piedmont Triad.
This position is designed for cardiologists who want to focus on clinical care without hospital call, ER coverage, or inpatient responsibilities, while benefiting from strong internal referrals, modern facilities, and a compensation model that rewards productivity.
Physicians practice within a collaborative, independent multispecialty group that has served the region for nearly 40 years and continues to grow strategically without private equity or hospital ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Provide outpatient non-invasive cardiology consultations and follow-up care
Diagnose and manage cardiovascular conditions with a focus on continuity of care
Interpret and utilize diagnostic studies, including echocardiography and vascular imaging
Communicate test results, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations clearly to patients
Collaborate with primary care and specialty colleagues within the organization
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Uphold patient confidentiality and professional standards
Clinical Scope
General non-invasive cardiology
Echocardiography (including stress echo)
Nuclear cardiology (reading support available)
Vascular ultrasound (carotid and peripheral)
Risk stratification and chronic disease management
Requirements
Schedule & Practice Model
Monday–Friday clinic schedule
One Saturday every four weeks (optional additional Saturdays available)
No hospital call
No emergency room coverage
After-hours triage managed by primary care team
Primary clinic location with 1–2 satellite clinic days per week as needed
(20–30 minute travel maximum)
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation
Guaranteed base salary: $270,000
50% of professional collections, reconciled monthly
If collections exceed the base, the higher amount is paid that month
Monthly productivity bonus (not quarterly or annual)

Job Requirements
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited Cardiology fellowship
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
Eligible for North Carolina medical licensure
Strong commitment to outpatient clinical excellence and patient-centered care
Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
