Position Title:Children's Therapist - Hospital
Location: Owensboro, KY
Description:
The Therapist will provide high-quality mental health counseling services, conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and facilitate therapy sessions with children and their families. This role involves working closely with children experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. The Therapist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support the mental well-being of our clients.
Essential Functions:
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients in accordance with their treatment plans. 
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine appropriate therapeutic interventions. 
- Develop, implement, and review treatment plans in collaboration with clients and other members of the care team. 
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. 
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including session notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries. 
- Facilitate crisis interventions when necessary and coordinate referrals to other services as needed. 
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and continuing education programs to stay informed of best practices. 
- Uphold ethical and professional standards in accordance with state regulations and licensing requirements. 
- Engage in outreach and community education efforts to promote mental health awareness and services. 
- Other duties as assigned. 
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution. 
- Licensed or eligible for licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent) in the state. 
- Experience in providing therapeutic services to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. 
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and a strong commitment to client-centered care. 
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. 
- Proficient in clinical documentation and record-keeping.
