Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) is a multi-disciplined civil engineering firm offering civil site, structural, land surveying, and GIS services. Since its founding in 1996, our team has grown to over 150 team members with six locations. We operate in three states serving our six service lines - Infrastructure + Analytics, Site, Structures, Survey, Transportation, and Water Resources. We have office locations in Missouri St. Louis and Jefferson City, Illinois Collinsville and Effingham and Kentucky Louisville and Prestonsburg.
We are looking for a Bridge Inspector certified Team Leader to support our CDI mission in Building Stronger Communities. By leading projects and guiding the next generation of engineers, you will support our mission and developing a better tomorrow.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and coordinate bridge inspections according to FHWA and owner requirements.
· Collaborate with engineers, designers, clients and stakeholders to communicate inspection results.
· Plan for bridge inspections including necessary inspection equipment, sketches, safety devices and coordinating safety vehicles as required.
· Ensure compliance with CDI's safety procedures.
· Document findings from visual and physical bridge inspections.
· Assessment of bridges noting severity of damage, deterioration, load carrying capacity and weight inspections.
· Advise on immediate repair and long-term strategies.
· Prepares bridge inspection forms and reports under the directions of Bridge PM. Enters inspection data, requests reports, and analyzes information.
Requirements:· Require NBIS Team Leader Certification
· Statewide travel with over nights
· Valid drivers license
· Ability to climb and inspect various type of bridges
· Comfortable working with heights and confined spaces
· Positive attitude
· Ability to be self-directed with focus on quality while working within a team.
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment while possessing strong interpersonal and both oral and written communication skills.
This role can be based out of the Collinsville, IL, Effingham, IL, and St. Louis, MO. This position can be full-time or part time role. The overnight travel expected is up to 40%.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,000-$95,000/year. Compensation will vary based upon relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
